Scope of Study
The study of Baybayin is a creative way of understanding the ancient writing system used by Filipinos before the arrival of the Spanish colonizers. Through the analysis of different texts, symbols, and forms of Baybayin calligraphy, students develop a deeper appreciation for Filipino culture, history, and identity.
This subject helps improve reading, analysis, writing, and research skills while exploring the meaning, structure, and modern-day use of Baybayin. It also includes creative writing, documentation, and research focused on preserving Filipino culture through art and communication.
By studying Baybayin calligraphy, students learn how tradition, art, and modern creativity can work together to preserve and pass on the heritage of our ancestors to future generations.

Ang pag-aaral ng Baybayin ay isang malikhaing paraan ng pag-unawa sa sinaunang sistema ng pagsulat ng mga Pilipino bago dumating ang mga Kastila. Sa pamamagitan ng pagsusuri ng iba’t ibang teksto, simbolo, at anyo ng Baybayin calligraphy, mas napapalalim ang pagpapahalaga sa kultura, kasaysayan, at pagkakakilanlang Pilipino.
Ang asignaturang ito ay nakatutulong sa pagpapaunlad ng kasanayan sa pagbasa, pagsusuri, pagsulat, at pananaliksik habang pinag-aaralan ang kahulugan, estruktura, at paggamit ng Baybayin sa modernong panahon. Kabilang din dito ang pagbuo ng malikhaing sulatin, dokumentasyon, at pananaliksik tungkol sa pagpapanatili ng kulturang Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng sining at komunikasyon.
Sa pag-aaral ng Baybayin calligraphy, natututuhan ng mga mag-aaral kung paano pinagsasama ang tradisyon, sining, at makabagong paglikha upang mapanatili at maipasa ang pamana ng ating mga ninuno sa susunod na henerasyon.
